Illuminate with Echo Shine in Repetition
Ideation
A quick exploration of lamp shade designs using Yupo paper.
I drew inspiration from the repetitions found in nature and everyday life, particularly the patterns of a pine cone.
Mockup
Experimenting with Miura-ori fold, “a method of folding a flat surface into a smaller area.“.
This folding style can be applied to fold solar panels or a collapsible water bottle, among other uses.
Prototype
Created an interactive prototype and gathered feedback from Professor Arunas and my peers to improve it.
Final Render
Designed a lampstand for the lampshade and used an AI tool to visualize it in a commercial photography setting.
