NexPlay

Handheld Portable Device

  • NexPlay reimagines the handheld gaming device, drawing inspiration from the Steam Deck to explore alternative design possibilities.

  • Design and sketches: Photoshop and Illustrator

    3D model: Rhinoceros 3D

    Rendering: KeyShot

  • The project was completed in Winter 2023, under the mentorship of Professor Jason Morris.

WellU

Fitness and Nutrition App.

  • WellU is a fitness and nutrition app specifically designed for college students, helping them balance their busy schedules, stay on top of their work, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

  • Figma

    Photoshop

  • The project was completed in Fall 2024 in collaboration with Devon Pereda and Dr. Geri Forsberg.

EchoGlow

Illuminate with Echo, Shine in Repetition

  • Exploring different designs for pendant light shades. I wanted to implement the same repetition and pattern as nature’s. Thus, got the idea for this one from pinecone.

This specific fold style is called Miura-ori, “a method of folding a flat surface into a smaller area.“. This folding style can be applied to fold solar panels or a collapsible water bottle, etc.

  • The lamp shade is made out of Yupo, which is a recyclable, tree-free, waterproof, translucent synthetic paper. Exterior is white translucent. Smooth to the touch, and it diffuses light, giving it a very visually soft quality.

  • The project was completed in Winter 2024 under the mentorship of Professor Arunas Oslapas.

SilverSlope

Aluminum plate with Strength and Style

  • Experimenting with tray designs and leaning toward valet trays. Added curvature so keys, wallets, or even fruits and snacks stay securely inside. For the base, I chose a dark wood that complements the silver dish, and for texture, I gave the metal a hammered finish.

  • The silver dish is crafted from aluminum sheet metal with a hammered finish. The base is made from black walnut and finished with oil wax for durability and longevity.

  • The project was completed in Fall 2023 with the guidance of Professor Justin Lund.

Hummingbird

Light. Fast. Free

  • The Hummingbird is a high-performance hypercar concept inspired by the balance of agility and precision found in its namesake. It emphasizes aerodynamic flow, sleek proportions, and a futuristic yet organic aesthetic.

  • Initially hand-sketched and rendered using simple digital sketching tools, the concept was later enhanced using Gemini for a more realistic, refined presentation.

  • The project began as a quick idea exploration and evolved into a semi-developed hypercar concept showcasing design form, proportion, and detail refinement.

  • The next phase of development involves building a detailed 3D model of the Hummingbird in Blender or CAD software to further explore surface quality, proportions, and potential real-world feasibility.
